MAC Sharkskin was my HG of e/s. It was the first m/u tutorial I watch on youtube and I remember thinking why is she putting on e/s under an e/s, but it simple makes e/s pop. There is no other way to describe it. It must be seen to be believed. It could be worn alone, the color is described as Shade description: Swimming sharp polished grey (Frost).
I bought Flamboyant. It looked like a pretty purple and yellow. I love bright shades, I am normally a Urban Decay girl but I could not resist.I could not be more disappointed. The yellow was not vibrabt in the least, very light pale yellow. And the purple ws not even a purple when i put it on. i even used a base UDPP to try to bring out the colors, that didnt work. Then I tried sharkskin as a base and this works for every color even cheap e/s and still nothing.
Pros:great packaging Cons:shades were not high intensity at ALL ;(

Pink Venus is a very pretty pink colour with lots of shimmer. I like it but you do need to either pack a lot of this on the lid or apply damp to get the colour to stand out. It does seem to look a tad different to the swatch I did on my hand in the store. Overall, I find this colour a little too light for me, but I love it teamed with a black eyeshadow.
I love these eye shadows. I was bit nervous about using mineral eyeshadows since I could just see me getting powder everywhere but once I started playing with them, the colors are just beautiful! I like neutral colors so I don't know how the brighter ones are, but I've been very happy with the samples I've gotten - you get quite a bit in sample pots! My favorite color so far is Sophisticate. It's a slightly shimmery rich brown. I like that LaurEss has colors from matte to shimmery so you can decide what level of shimmer you want. I like the Pearl Lights and Gem Lights. They have a creamy texture, lasts all day, and are not flat colors. The Gem Lights are the perfect amount of shimmer you can still wear during the day or glam it up for evening.
Pros:lovely colors, great amount for the price Cons:
I recently bought the special edition Kipling bag that came with the Shadow Insurance, Lash Injection, Starry Eyed Liner and the Eyeshadow Duo in Totally Toasted.
The Duo was amazing. I loved the color and it applied easily and the color was perfect for daily wear.
Unfortunately, due to my clumsiness, I dropped it and it caused the eyeshadow to crack. I had hoped to salvage some of the eyeshadow and tried re-separating the two shadows, but it crumbled easily and made a mess and it was impossible to distinguish which was which. I guess it was a bit too loose to withstand the impact. I've never had any trouble with other shadows I've dropped and this one left powder on my floor.
I love the color and will have to buy a new duo in the future
Pros:Beautiful Color
Applies easily Cons:A bit loose. When dropped powders mixed and made a mess
I have this in two colors: champaign craze (a neutral bronzy champaign) and opal obsession (cool silver with a hint of blue). Both are very shimmery and creamy. They make an excellent eyeshadow base!!! Some people even claim these are dupes of MAC's shadesticks. I don't have those so I can't compare. But I always apply a thin and even layer of the eye fixation shadow with a concearler blush close to my lash line and up over the lid. It greatly enhances the color pay-off of my powder shadow and makes my eyeliner stay put all day without falling out or smudging ( I use matte black shadow as my eyeliner). So if I ever run out, I would definitely buy these again. They cost $1.00 each at my local dollar store. By the way, they are made in Germany NOt China, which is another reason why I like them. By all means, try them.
Pros:Durability, enhancing color payoff, no smudging Cons:None
I usually don't like matte shadows but I love this one! Gorgeous brown colour with great texture and stays put without a base. I wear it almost every day!
I love saucy. this eye shadow makes my eyes pop. The goldish part of it looks great on brown skin. I've been wearing this shadow since it came out. It's also a save color for work because it isn't too loud. Very pigmented.
Love this shadow. I generally tend to wear neutral looks, and this is a perfect crease color for me. I sometimes use it on my lash line for a smudgey look. It is a dark, cool toned brown. Like all Stila shadows, it is soft, applies and blends well, is well pigmented, and has little to no fallout. Definitely worth the money.
Pros:Soft, blends well, applies well, no fallout, great neutral Cons:None
I bought this off of Beauty Crunch. It's a medium pink cream shadow. I like to use it as a base. It doesn't crease on me at all. So far I have mostly just used it with purples. It has an OK consistency. I would prefer it be a bit smoother. It does apply evenly and easily. It is a little slow to set. The pot it comes in is glass, and very cute. I love the lid. Very nice product!
Pros:Applies evenly, well pigmented, works well as a base, doesn't crease, lasts long Cons:Slow to set, consistency isn't as creamy as I would like
OMG this is the most perfect green shadow ever!!! You can see one way I have used it in this EOTD. It is a gorgeous forest green shimmer shadow, with a very sublte gold undertone. The shadow is beautifully pigmented, and is nice and soft. It applies beautifully. I have no fallout with this shadow. I can't say enough good things about it, and would for sure recommend it to others.
Pros:Soft, pigmented, no fallout, no creasing, color lasts long, makes brown eyes pop Cons:price
Okay, this are pretty big as far as containers go for eyeshadows. The color is what a purple color should look like but the consistency was really crappy. It was not very buttery like they NYX singles at all. The other pearl eyeshadows are really good but this was the one color that did not want to blend for anything. I even tried putting a primer underneath and it just didn't want to work (i used udpp).
Pros:Not too expensive, a lot of product in the container Cons:Very crappy consistency, doesn't blend, takes too much to show up even with an eye primer
I admit these shadows may not have much pigmentation, they're moderate at best, but I still liked them. They were very blendable and are great when you want to look overly done. Also make sure you wear primer underneath cause they'll last four hours at best without it.
Pros:blendable, pretty shades Cons:not much pigmentation, very little staying power
I got this shade in a color focus quad and I love it. These shadows are so pretty and blendable. The only issue is that they don't have much staying power for their price tag. I'd say it last about 6 hours with primer and melts off even faster w/o it. I wouldn't repurchase again, because I feel they are too expensive, but if you have a miracle primer they are great!
Pros:very pretty, blendable, smooth Cons:not much staying power, pricey
I found nothing wrong with this product. The shadow themselves have a glittery top layer, I don't know what that's about, but once you remove the top layer, it is more shimmery than glittery. They have great staying power I'd say they lasted at least 6 hours without any fading, but stay on for pretty much all day.
Pros:staying power, pretty shades Cons:maybe to glittery for some
